After Anuradha Koirala its Charimaya Tamang turn to be honored.US Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton on Monday honoured Nepali anti-trafficking hero, Charimaya Tamang, with the 2011 Hero Acting to End Modern-Day Slavery Award. She was also a victim of girl trafficking when she was 16 . Now is working against human trafficking .

Jharna's Best friend

After kohi mero ( which i loved a Lot ) JB (as Jharna's Lover boi LexLimbu like to call her) is back with new flick. The film is directed by Prasanna Poudel who earlier directed SHOR .Rumors was that Jharna has taken सन्यास from movie industry but glad to see her back.
I know one shouldn't judge a book by its cover , but looking at this poster, Kalee Kta is not getting any Goody Goody vibe. Jharna has gain a Lot of weight , and both the actor look  BUDO .Looks like a purano wala triangular Love story. Hope its not rip off from any Bollywood or Hollywood flick.

Pregnant Heroine

 Those who are eagerly waiting for Maduhr Bhandarkar next project with Aishwarya rai , has to wait little more now. The movie has delayed , You might think the answer is obvious -  Aishwarya's pregnancy. But it is not so obvious. Because its not her that is reason of delay but its the producer and director.The director-producers worried whether the audience would accept a heroine who would be a mother.Aww poor ash .

Unlike Twilight and The Vampire Diaries , True Blood is full of Mar-Dhar and bold subject  . Kalee kta has already watched all the three previous season and eagerly waiting for season 4 . If you haven't watched the previous season you can easily buy them from the Thela wala CD pasal lying here and there around Kathmandu .

Did you know a Chinese Movie was shot in nepal????

Qi yuan a 1985 chinese movie was entirely shot in Nepal. The movie is also titled "Witch From Nepal" . You can see different places of Nepal from kathmandu to Chitwan it has covered  it all in this movie.

Accordind to imdb the story goes like this , "During a safari in Nepal with his girlfriend, Joe is unbelievably chosen as the chief of a mystical tribe and is filled with magic power. When Joe is back to Hong Kong, a slave girl from the tribe helps him and gives him the token of authority. The two also fall in love. The Messenger of Evil from Nepal comes to attack Joe for the token. The sacrifice of the slave girl compels Joe to fight desperately against the Evil."

 Kalee kta loves and loves Nepali movie and will be promoting each promising upcoming flick. So i heard about this new movie HIGHWAY , which is directed by the very talented Deepak Rauniyar. Ani what's so different about this movie ??? Well you can check out the first picture which may solve your queries. Kalee kta finds it pretty daring to pull off such scene by Reecha Sharma ( who seems to be the flavor of this season) , playing a role of a prostitute in this movie.

 According to their facebook page , "Highway is an artery of relationships and it explores five different contemporary stories on relationships connected by an adventurous bus journey from Illam in east Nepal to the capital, Kathmandu" . Apart from Reecha Sharma it also stars Karma , Biney shrestha , Saughat Malla and many others.

Though Nepal Tourism Year 2011 is not that successful  as hoped. But Nepal has been frequently visted by many international artists . Demi moore , Irrfan Khan , Leonardo Dicaprio has already been to Nepal . But did you know that the creator of Facebook (nowadays who doesnot have a Facebook account) not the one from the movie "The Social Network" , the REAL ONE , Mark Zuckerberg has already been to our beautiful country Nepal .
