Kalee Kta on "Annapurna marathon"

Yandi Sherpa winner in the women’s category

 To promote and celebrate Tourism Year 2011 , ACAP organizes first edition of the Maurice Herzog, Late Dr Harka Gurung Mount Annapurna-I Marathon . Kalee Kta is happy to see local people organizing these events in order to promote tourism.The marathon started from the Southern pole of the Annapurna-I Base Camp (4500metres) and passed through Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3700m), Deurali, Hotel Himalaya, Dobhan, Bamboo, Sinuwa Dada, Chhomrong Bazaar, Jhinu Hot Spring, New Bridge, Landruk, Tolka, Bhedakharka, Deurali, Pothana and ended at the Dr Harka Gurung, Dr Chandra Prasad Gurung, Mingma Sherpa Memorial Garden.

Tirtha Bahadur Tamang

Armymen, Purna Bahadur Tamang, Samir Tamang and Ram Bhandari secured the top four positions in the open category. n women's section, three time Everest Marathon champions Yangdi Lama Sherpa claimed the title with a time of 6:02:02. Dolma Sherpa (7:31:48) and Parbati Kumari Bista (7:40:51) finished second and third respectively.
